Awesome Factor: The Happy Hollows have been my favorite band for a little over a year now. I first saw them at the Hemlock Tavern and was immediately into their music. I was an "Insta-fan," as I like to call it. The Happy Hollows have all the qualities I look for in a band: Something different but catchy, skilled technically but raw at the same time, and a stellar stage presence. I like music that I can get lost in one moment and then the next I'm thinking "Wow she can rip" or "Man that change was awesome and unexpected!" This is what The Happy Hollows do for me in every song. Sadly they are from LA -- or else I would be that freaky girl showing up to every show and shouting out the names of the songs I want to hear. Luckily I get to feature them on the site! I got to know them as people in the process, which was a treat beyond measure. They all have such great hearts and quirky personalities, which really makes sense given the kind of music that comes out of them. Make sure to check out their album "Spells", which came out last year and was my favorite album released in 2010. I will now make you a Happy Hollows Insta-fan!
